Akeredolu To Declare Open 2023 OSEPA Summit On Sept 28

All is now set for the hosting of year 2023 Summit organized by the Ondo State Environmental Protection Agency, (OSEPA) to brainstorm with environmental Stakeholders.

The theme of the OSEPA Summit is; “Combating the Menace of Plastic Pollution” and it will hold at The International Cultural & Events Centre (The Dome) on Thursday 28th September, 2023.

‘Plastic Pollution a National Crisis’

The Centre for Earth Works has called for an end to plastic pollution in Nigeria.

The Executive Director of the non-governmental organisation, Mr. Benson Fasanya, made the call at the clean-up environment campaign which was held in Jos on Saturday.

Fasanya, who led members of his organisation to participate in the clean-up exercise at the Jos Wild Life Park, as part of the activities to mark the World Clean-up Day, said that the campaign was aimed at raising awareness of the dangers of plastic pollution to the wellbeing of Nigerians.

OSEPA Partners Ikaram Progressive Union On Good Environmental Practice, Sustainable Development

As part of its environmental sensitization engagements with communities in Ondo State, the State Environmental Protection Agency (OSEPA) Team was at Ikaram Akoko on Friday 25th August, 2023.

The Agency in collaboration with Ikaram Progressive Union (IPU) held a lecture with the Theme “Awareness on Good Environmental Practices for Sustainable Development” for the people of Ikaram at the Community Town Hall, in commemoration of IPU Annual Women Empowerment Programme.

The event has been tagged “Combating the Menace of Plastic Pollution in Ondo State 2.0: Action Time“.

2023 World Environment Day: OSEPA Advocates Sustainable Environment, Introduces Alternative To Use Of Nylon/Polythene Bags

In commemoration of this year’s World Environment Day (WED) tagged “Solution to Plastic Pollution”, the Ondo State Environmental Protection Agency (OSEPA) has sensitized the citizens of Ondo State on the need to protect the State from the negative impacts of plastic waste pollution.

The Special Adviser to the State Governor on Environment, Hon. Oyeniyi Oseni, while joining other experts in the environmental space to mark the 2023 World Environment Day (WED), assured the people of Ondo State that OSEPA would soon introduce biodegradable carriers/bags to replace polythene/nylon bags, in order to bequeath a safe and clean environment in the State.
